About
The Catchment is an independent tool built to give London families honest, usable information about school admissions — without the noise, the spin, or the paywalls.
School admissions data is public. Councils are legally required to publish their oversubscription criteria and last-qualifying distances every year. But that data is scattered across 32 borough websites in inconsistent formats — PDFs, spreadsheets, web pages that change each year. We collect it, standardise it, and present it clearly.
We don't tell you which school is 'best'. We don't publish Ofsted ratings as rankings. We show you the historical catchment distances and let you draw your own conclusions.
Independence
The Catchment is funded by the people who use it. We have no advertising, no council relationships, no affiliate deals with schools or tutors. Our only product is accurate information.
