Terms

Last reviewed June 2026

The Catchment is an independent, informational service. By using it you accept these terms.

What we provide

We collect publicly available school admissions information — chiefly councils' published oversubscription criteria and last-qualifying distances — and present it in a consistent format. The information is historical and offered for general guidance only.

No guarantee of accuracy

We work hard to be accurate, but we can't guarantee it. Source documents contain errors, change between years, and are sometimes ambiguous. The Catchment is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Nothing here is advice, and a past catchment distance is not a promise of a future place. See our disclaimer for detail.

Acceptable use

You may use The Catchment for your own research into school admissions. Please don't scrape the site at scale, attempt to disrupt it, or republish our compiled data as if it were your own.
